cheers to 12 years! - life of charmings

so… nearly two weeks ago now, on the 7th, steven and i celebrated our 12 year anniversary! it’s been a journey, and really, what else should one expect of a decade plus? i know i can safely say for us both that we’re super thankful for where we are right now… especially the part about the cuddly little humans that have come about to sweeten our days! 🙂

anyway, peeking back at my camera roll from that weekend… well, let’s see…

the evening before, steven brought me home a beautiful, summertimey arrangement of flowers [i think floral is my love language!], and maddalena made us our very own anniversary playlist on her ipad as we cooked dinner. [we’ve dedicated a couple of very old ipads to M & R’s use and they are delighted!]

the next morning, we basked on the deck as the kiddos gave us “gifts” including toys and coins from their own personal collections, and maddalena even wrote a note right smack on a dollar bill. haha! “we are really glad that mom married dad and dad married mom.” gosh, i love them! steven brought out donut holes for breakfast, which the kiddos and i had zero complaints about. i, too, bestowed a few tokens of love. [dark chocolate, linen-blend shirts, and a jade facial roller… i read a little here and there of symbolic gifts for 12 years which mentioned linen and jade, so hey! also, yes, the members of this household that get headaches especially love face rolling! it helps sinuses, lymph, and all sorts of things, but i digress…]

aaaand so, we headed to the farm for the day, as we’d decided that this was as good a year as any [being a weird, weird world and all!] to spend the hot, sunny day by the pool with a little sip of prosecco in our glasses! lu-bunny tried to escape his afternoon nap, but oooh no, baby boy! it wasn’t long til he was snoozing and i was floating. 🙂
