so!! you might recall that last year we ended up skipping our happiest yearly jaunt down to paradise, and instead dove into a new, wonderful, and 0% relaxing adventure… bringing home our sweet stellypup! obviously, i would do it again in 2 seconds flat, because not only did we get to spend time with my fam up north, but stella is just such a special and cherished part of our lives. plus, luca was so tiny, at the time, that it wouldn’t have been the most plentiful beach experience for me, anyway.
that being said… wow, this trip was long overdue!! it’s always like coming home the very second we walk in the door, and i just needed to be there… despite the odd timing of the world’s happenings. actually, it was the perfect place to be. twelve hours of social distance is my idea of a solid getaway, regardless. 🙂
…lu’s first visit!!
…oh hoooow our skin needed the sun + sea…
…morning routines, beach bods, and baby brother problems. 😉 but he doesn’t care! sister’s old swim vest did the trick…
…i had three different people offer to take our family photo on the beach that week. so funny!! that was just slightly before the germ fears really amped up, haha…
…steven managed to squeeze the kiddos’ bikes in the car! oh yes. sidenote: we DROVE. also, pasta…
…snacks on snacks… cheers!!
…so fun to see the kiddos swimming and playing together these days. rocco has done so much swim practice since the fall, and he’s come so far!! and remember those underwater disposable cameras?! we loved those so much as kids! now we use these underwater iphone cases…
…smiles + sunbeams…
…best gelato we’ve found! steven picked it up for us. salted caramel for meeeeee, always. also, chocolatey faces and sweet little curls…
…two poolside naps for this sweet baby. i was in heaven…
…gosh, crazy to think that on our last trip, luca was just a tiny, little secret…
…leaving is always so hard!! and this trip honestly felt so quick. but gosh, i am grateful for our time there! and veryyyy grateful for my sis and brother-in-law [oh, and stella’s sis, kaiya ;)] for holding down our fort, quarantining and everything, so we could make a break for it for just a smidge!!
until next time, treasure coast! WE LOVE YOU!

that looks marvelous and relaxing and perfect! We managed to get in a Disneyland trip and went to New Orleans for my brother’s wedding JUST BEFORE the state of emergency was declared and while we were in NOLA things really started to get crazy. This is such a crazy time, but so perfect that y’all got to make another beach trip and the memories that go along with it. 🙂
