packing tip! do you have a bunch of these stashed away, too?!

i don’t know about you, but for some reason i tend to keep the zip-up plastic thingies that sheets and blankets come in. for a while, i kept them in case i needed to put said blankets and sheets back in for storage… which… as it turns out… happens rarely. but!!! as it also turns out…

THEY ARE SO HANDY FOR EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE PLANET!!

toys. puzzles. art supplies. but my biggest discovery has been this: do not pay for packing cubes!

…especially for children’s clothing! i just roll up each of their outfits and stick them in. disclaimer: my hurried folding, rolling, and re-packing was admittedly a bit messier this time on the return trip, as i was packing the kiddos’ clothes in the dark while they napped… but that’s okay! telling myself it’s oookay. 😉

anyway! i’m only sharing this because i’m so aware of how *in* both clear zippy storage bags and packing cubes are right now. so, if you’ve stashed these like i have YOU’RE SET! getting back from our last two trips, all i had to do was pretty much take each child’s little bag to their room instead of fumbling up and down stairs with piles of clothes that i’m dropping!

okay, i’m also sharing because a while back i was discussing this with my friend maggie, and she said “you should blog that,” and it hadn’t occurred to me, but she’s a smart and rare unicorn. so here we are. 🙂

anyone else have a bunch of these bags in a closet somewhere or am i somewhere between over-prepared and hoarder?!
