…everybody’s ears go UP [and they stay there! no more up down up down up down!]
…obsessed with springtime and puppy and the neighbor’s blooms that so delightfully come our direction!
…we took stella on a walk down the street, which was kiiiiind of a lot of effort since it was chilly and pup is not well leash trained yet! but we were glad we did. and luca’s face! haha! he was fine. pretty sure he fell asleep while we walked.
…aaaand don’t those last three captures just say it all. 😉
first of all, though, HOW pretty are the blossoms popping up everywhere these days?! oh, spring is making me so happy! i can’t believe it’s already april. i can’t! time is crazy. life. is. crazy.
which leads me to… oooh, yes! life! i think we were pretty mentally prepared for things to get a little more chaotic as we brought a peppy little puppy home into a household with two kiddos, an infant, two cats, and an older dog. we geared up for that much! and it’s definitely been crazy. there’s absolutely nothing, not ONE thing, that i’m not horribly behind on right now… and that’s okay, right?! i mean, as long as we aren’t all naked on easter. as long as all the school to-dos are covered. as long as we make it [once again, clothed] to both our sisters’ weddings next month… you know… etc, etc!
anyway! life keeps moving! it’s important to me to actively practice enjoying the stage of life you’re in for what it is… because no matter what, it will change and that stage becomes only a set of memories. so bittersweet, yes?!
however! to keep things extra interesting i s’pose, my poor husband quite unfortunately sustained a knee injury playing soccer the very day after stella’s homecoming. we were crossing our fingers that his knee just needed to rest and heal up, but a doctor’s visit confirmed that the pop he felt in his knee [cringe!] was indeed a torn ACL. one ACL surgery, coming right up! he’ll do great with it, i know he will… but obviously it’s just such a kink in things, and i hate it for him. prayers this way would for sure be accepted!
fortunately, i was able to schedule stella’s two weeks of “puppy kindergarten” over his surgery and first two weeks of recovery. haaaallelujah! except… i’m going to miss her so much!! i really, really adore her. she’s smart and sweet, and i’m an obnoxious dog mom all over again. and i love it. but girlfriend is clever enough to use a doorknob already, so clearly outsourcing her education at this point is a must. 😉 and i’m sooo excited about the people she’ll be working with!
so… there’s a little life update! and you can bet i’ll brb asap with abouuut 57 stella photos, okay, yay.

Oh no! A surgery on top of all the other things!!! I’m so sorry. When it rains it pours right?! I know you have such a good village around to help out during this chaotic (but lovely) time!! And then there’s wine.

so true!!! in big ways and small! i feel like things go so smoothly for the most part until they REALLY DON’T. and yes. wine. haha.
