something i miss a lot lately is having to go out to feed my horse, even on the coldest of winter days…
well, i do and i don’t! it wasn’t always doable for me with babes, and my parents covered it most often… so, it was hard to feel torn and guilty over that all the time. but when i could, i did! and i always loved that time. winter can be so stifling… and i hate being cold. so, whenever i’m forced to go out in the cold air, i remember how revitalizing it is to go out and soak up a beautiful winter sunset. the peace and quiet. the smell of chilly horses. oh my! do yourself a favor this winter and go find a horse to sniff! it’s the best, forever and always.
all that to say, we took a winter stroll to see the horses on a beautiful, chilly evening! the kiddos needed it, and so. did. i. note to self: wear a coat. wear 100 coats. and run straight toward that setting winter sun!

How cold is cold? It was like twenty degrees this morning. I hate it and I want to move south. I have never smelled a horse, I don’t think? Must remedy that!
