with our big girl back off to school for the new semester, i’ve been recalling aaall the many days she spent in princess dresses when she was younger… taking care of babies, playing with her dollhouse, and watching strawberry shortcake! my own feet never came near a nike emblem, ha. we just twirled and braided and sipped pretend tea! we all miss her SO much when she’s off living big girl life. she takes the best care of her baby brothers, i love being girly with her, and it just feels like something is off when she’s not around.
but boy mom life? there’s not as much glitter involved, but it’s pretty stinkin’ charming. snips and sails and puppy dog tails! rocco is basically the coolest, funniest, cutest guy on the planet, and it’s crazy to me that my sweetest little luca angel baby bunny will be hangin’ in there with him in no time! they melt me and i cannot handle it.
some favorite boy mom moments lately…
…a boy and his tractor!! i can’t even deal. he’s very serious about his farm work, and i completely adore it. please note that he colored “tiger stripes” on his cheeks with red marker for like 3 days straight. i assume one master daniel tiger to be the inspo.
…spending the day with curious george could literally never get old. he asked for his george “tchochume” last week, and made me laugh all day living out that monkey life then confessing that it was just “wocco, a hooman in a monkey tchochume!”
…basically, thank you to my brother and dad for keeping my girly side in check growing up! actually, in 5th grade, my favorite color was indeed blue and i had a relatively significant disinterest in boob acquisition, so, i’ve had my moments. still, i realize i wouldn’t know WHAT to do with boy life if i’d grown up in an all girl house… however! i can play legos and shoot a gun and throw a basketball somewhat and i will maybe even sing you the pokemon theme song if you slip me some cash, so i might just make it! but… don’t forget my gold glitter and pink everything, please and thank you.
xoxoxo
