last sunday! last sunday [okay, not this most recent sunday, but the one before!] was the best and the cutest and the sweetest and the funniest. i had no idea, but my favorite, best girls planned a little baby sprinkle surprise with my farm gals for me and baby bunny!
now, the notion that anyone would even attempt to surprise me and my control issues, like, ever, is almost the very best part. haha. my mom was genuinely nervous about it, and i am pretty sure i terrified my husband with my brittany-ness just that day alone, when i last minute bagged the plans that were supposed to have me at the farm with actual makeup on my face that afternoon. [it was rainy and poor rocco had developed an eye infection from an unfortunate mulch poke to the eyeball!] so, then he had to somehow insist that i… show up at the farm with makeup on! and there i was, planted in my rocker, fairly insistent that i was going to stay at home in my joggers. hahaha. in hindsight, it is just so great, and i am fully entertained by it all! sorry for the scare, my brave people!
anyway, the other thing is that i feel really, really guilty receiving things… BUT!!! this third little bunny! i also had a little bit of guilt about him being a thirdborn with mostly hand me downs… and now he has a few more of his very own sweet, adorable items! i seriously cannot wait to snuggle him!
and i have to say, walking into the farm to see my favorite faces greeting me was the best thing ever. i mean, i really didn’t expect it… but i love my ladies… and i know life is busy. and fall is super busy! and it’s a lot to squeeze in one more thing! so, i’m just really grateful.
not only that, they brought the most precious gifties, contributed to a housekeeping fund so i can call the cleaners back a few times!!! [my dream!!!!!!], my sissy monogrammed pumpkins and spoiled me with the tassley earrings i wanted [what!], and AND my mother made the prettiest diaper cake, displayed the prettiest custom cookies ever, and put together adorable baskets for everyone. considering the kids and i completely crashed her workflow the day before [unannounced, as we do!], i don’t know how she did everything so casually and last minute! [we were doing rehearsal and wedding stuff the weekend prior, and then that same sprinkle weekend we had been concerting and birthdaying aplenty!] AND she didn’t tell me about it. we talk like, 4,700 times a day. so. that’s amazing.
of course, since i didn’t know what i was doing putting on makeup and going to the farm that sunday, i didn’t have my big camera on me! so, these are my fanciest of rainy day iphone captures. but! my sissy made a beautiful video of clips for the afternoon! sister to the rescue!! yay!
[and yes, there is a little bunny name sprinkled through these sprinkle captures, because… it’s all just too pretty not to share! who can resist! i think we’ve told everyone we know, anyway, so… more on that once he presents himself. which he needs to do approximately… very soon. we are excited! :)]
