sooo… remember this classic scene from when we were kids?! anyone?! i looooved ET when i was little! like, loved. AND had, still have, my own little stuffed ET doll! he’s so cute. i still think he’s just the cutest alien ever. and to this day, i am constantly tempted to do ET finger and say things like, “EEET phone home!” “elllliiiiiiooooottttt…”
so anyway… my friend, kristin, sent me a picture just recently of an adorable 😉 child that she’d spotted a photo of that was totally rocco’s doppleganger… and that was the point of the picture. and crazy crazy, it really did look like rocco!! BUT that child was also dressed up like elliott with ET, and i thought WAAAIT, wait… i have an ET! and so, my inner little brittany of the of the ’80s proceeded to do what you do to stay properly entertained as a mother of the ’10s. 🙂
[obviously, full credit for such a notion goes to the 1 million people who have apparently made this costume choice prior to that day, according to the internet! i’m just keeping myself occupied over here with a toddler and huge belly, so… ;)]
and ohh, i could have watched him pedal little ET around all day!! haha. but honestly, i can never get enough of rocco and his little doings. that’s pretty much how i always feel, no matter what he’s up to. he’s so fun to do just about anything with… and gosh, i love him! i tell him all the time that i’m so glad he’s my buddy, and he’ll say “i’m glad you’re my MOMMY buddy!” that boy. i want to eat him up. i can’t even handle.
anyway!! what is everyone being/dressing their babes up for halloween!? i went ahead and let our kiddos make their own decisions this year, and didn’t bother pushing a coordinating family idea since i have nooo idea how many children we will even have on halloween! haha!
and hallelujah! our fall break starts today! maddalena’s home and cozy, and rocco is on the mend from a little eye infection. [he took some mulch to the eye last week… seriously, you never know what it’s gonna be next with little boys!] so, here’s hoping we’ll tackle a few more fall goals and get a whooole lot of rest before baby bunny time!!
