on labor day last weekend, i threw my favorite white dress on once more for the season, and oh my, my! how we’re filling it out these days. 😉 only 8 more weeks until what could be another labor day for us this year!
sidenote! maddalena now calls these, “belly pop pics,” and i love it sooo very much.
and speaking of those firstborn babes… remember how when you’re having your first, you take weekly bump pics? haha. then the second time around, with rocco, i thought, “every two weeks is probably good!” and this time? well, let’s just say nothing too organized has been going on in the realm of documentation!
so, now that i can totally see just how quickly the next weeks are going to go by, i’m trying to do any and all last minute soaking and savoring. one thing i don’t want is to look back on this short time of life and remember mostly how overwhelmed i’ve been at times, how distracting the demands of life often are, and how stress so easily clouds my days… that’s just life sometimes, right!!
i want to remember noting that he is definitely more active than rocco was before he was born, but probably not as crazy as maddalena was! that his little nursery is quickly becoming a peaceful escape that i’m really excited about. also, that for some reason i really want carrots lately? that he’s my only baby i’ve gotten to have a 4d ultrasound with!! and that part of the reason i haven’t dwelled nearly so much on the pregnancy part of things this time is because, unlike with a first baby, i already know hoooow muuuuch i enjoy my little ones and their tiny snuggles and milestones and toddlerhood and little conversations and relationships, and i’m so looking forward to that.
so!! official 32 week belly pop, here we are! and boy, are we a-poppin. and thank you to my sissy, as usual, because i really always enjoy finding sunbeams with her. [especially after a day by the pool!] <3
[and this knockoff dress, ps! you know how i love it. ordered it 2 sizes up and then just took the straps up myself, FYI!]
[also, every time i’m trying to keep a hat on my head, i think of the curious george boo movie and how no-noggin kicks people’s hats. haha. i love that movie as much as any kid, i’m pretty sure! gosh, i can’t wait to get all cozy and bring out the fall classics!]
