1. long skinny tank – i’ve obsessed over these tanks a million times before, iii know! but… i just purchased a few fresh, new ones, and i feel like the latest version is even better than ever! the straps are just a tad more refined and they’re super long and perfectly stretchy. they also aren’t cut in a weirdly “maternity” way or anything. they’re just great preg or not, all year round, solo or layered. i can’t live without the black, white, and gray! seriously, as long as they’re being made, i will never ever go without these.
2. comfiest undies – you guys. rapidly expanding can come with some maj undergarment woes! i was seriously grouchy about underthings there for a spell. but again, the target angels played their trumpets and these were bestowed upon my shopping cart. apparently, they are the answer to life. hallelujah!
3. high waisted leggings – one more thing that’s nothing new, but i’ve honestly just been living in these with extra dedication as of late! the high waist has felt gloriously supportive this time around… and let’s be honest… i need all the support i can get. 😉 also, i just love that these leggings wear so well year after year!
4. cute compression socks – i have yet to develop any vein problems or anything like that, and i definitely don’t want to… so this purchase was partly due to preventative paranoia! but also, when i’m on my feet a lot my legs have just been sooo achey. so, i was pleasantly surprised to find that there are some super duper cute and comfy compression socks out there these days!!! i mean, not that i’m just walking around town with big tall socks on… yet. haha. but around my house, yes! and come boot weather, these will be extra perfect.
5. prenatal gummies – i. love. these. mostly, it’s just really important to me to take a vitamin with folate [not folic acid] and methyl-B [not B from cyanocobalamin], as those are the more natural and available forms for your body to process… but the fact that i get to wake up every day and eat a handful of gummies gives me just a liiiiittle something extra to live for. haha. it’s the little things, right! eat your gummies, kids. also, i ended up having to supplement with vitamin D drops pretty early on, and that helped my energy level a whole lot. thank goodness! [this isn’t the exact one, but i took a liposomal vitamin D with K2 and it helped immediately!]
6. goe oil – goshhhh!!!! this stuff. it smells like absolute heaven. i’ve really only purchased this for myself as a baby bump treat, so i haven’t had it in a couple of years! it’s just as fabulous as i remember! it’s so luxurious i just want to use it allllll the time, but also incredibly sparingly so that it lasts forever and ever. so… it’s just a really lovely dilemma.
7. skin perfecting liquid – this is the first time i’ve decided to forego getting sun on my face while pregnant and spare myself the additional pigmentation spots i get from the hormone/sun combo every time! i’ve used this BHA solution in the past to work on getting rid of my uneven skin spots brought on by sun basking while bunny baking… and i was amazed at how much it helped!! i no longer have the darkened spots i had after being pregnant that first time. however… i have acquired many a new spot. soooo… i’ve been using this stuff again all summer, and i still just love it. it’s safe to use while pregnant and nursing, so i’m about to re-order and keep at it! [also on amazon]
8. ina may’s guide to childbirth – this book!! it’s the book to read before childbirth, if you ask me. i seriously credit that ina may so much for enabling me to have such a decent experience with birth in the past… and though it’s written by a super hippie dippie midwife, you certainly don’t have to be crunchy in the slightest to read and appreciate it! i found it fascinating and i can’t wait to read it again here in these next several weeks.
bonus shoutouts!! a body pillow is a MUST for third trimester sleeping. also, i’ve never been a huge lulu girl, but my lululemon joggers have become invaaaaluable, they are so soft and comfy!! by far my fav to wear with my tanks. might also just mention the topic of natural panty liners, no chemicals, good things. and they say drinking red raspberry leaf tea helps prepare your body for labor and recovery.
so! a lot of these favs definitely remain consistent with the first and second rounds! i’m dedicated to my favs, though, what can i say. 😉
xoxoxo
