[little bunnies put together some cute little berry snacks for the 4th! i mean… rocco loves berries like i can’t even describe.]
[i came across this dress at tjmaxx after looking at it online and then not ordering it due to mixed reviews!! but oh my lucky stars! it’s amazing. so summery. all they had was a size up, but the straps tie so i wasn’t worried… turns out, i love it even more because it’s longer that way! soooooo. jackpot!]
[twirling lessons by the very twirliest little maddalena rose <3]
[my little princess mini me bff forever and ever amen!]
[this boy. i love him so much. he keeps us all smiling constantly.]
[belly pop. 23… ish… weeks? i think! and my first baby not born in july!]
[m took this photo and i love it, because my sissy is THE CUTEST and best human.]
[little minners!! back in her element!!! it’s been a while since she’s gotten to float like she likes to. and l-o-l at maddalena and rocco’s background bickering.]
[dinner was the last straw. and ooh, the mouth!! i can’t with the mouth.]
[we squeezed in sparklers for baby girl, and oh my gosh. i’ve looked at these last two photos 100 times. how can she look exactly like she did when she was 2 but COMPLETELY grown up at the same time? waaa!!! i love her.]
i’ve realized that some of these smaller holidays are my very favorites, because we get an excuse to do all the things we like to do anyway… but with a little more flare! 😉 we swam… waved flags… grilled burgs and dogs… donned the appropriate color scheme… and sparklered! perfect.
and hallelujah for freedom! i explained a brief bit about the meaning of the 4th to maddalena and rocco the other night as we snuggled in bed, and it may have been a bit over their heads… but rocco liked the part of the story where the soon-to-be americans said, “no no no! we don’t want to be ruled by england anymore!” so. maybe they got a little of it? one day!
also, it’s crazy to think that just 3 years ago, i was abouuuut to pop with my rocco boy… and now, here he is turning 3 tomorrow!!! WHERE does the time go!!! and maddalena is 6 at the end of the month. my little july babies!!! they make life so so good.
i hope everyone had a wonderful independence day this year!!!

How adorable are your children I mean for real!! My kids were very confused by the whole celebrating the birthday of our country. I was told countries can’t have birthdays. Ha! Well why ever not!! But like most things historical it goes right over their little innocent heads and that’s ok right? So glad you had a wonderful fourth!!
