last week, we hit the beaches! not our treasure coast beaches this time, but we grabbed our best buds and popped down to the seaside area of florida where my in-laws often reside. it was sunny, crowded, and mostly just super fun to have a never-ending playdate with some of our favs!
aaand as it turns out… i’m still in that “is she pregnant or did she just eat an entire pizza all by herself?” phase of baby growing! obviously, if i have anything to say about it, from here through october the answer shall remain a resounding both. pizza and pasta every day, please!
i mean, a good meal really only helps clarify the issue. one girl, as we were out shopping, even started to say, “are you….?” and then stopped herself! i was so confused for a second until i realized she stopped talking because i might actually just have a really awkward waistline. haha! don’t worry, girl… lunch and baby. you got it.
the bottom line here, though, is that… 1. tan belly or bust, i say! i still love a bikini bump scenario. and 2. [which is the more important point here] i seem to be about the same size-ish as i was with both maddalena and rocco at this point?! from what i can tell! no significantly faster poppage, i suppose.
anyway, i’m definitely starting to favor my stretchier shorts… the nightly 2 hours of pregnancy insomnia is for real… and bikini, sun and all, i’m still having to supplement with vitamin D drops to help with my fatigue! details, details, right?
and still no name right now! the tossing around of ideas is mostly hilarious. we are sticking with the italian, as we’ve done with our first two… but finding something that is easy to pronounce, that goes well with but isn’t similar to rocco is hard! my first suggestion was ruled out in abouuuut .2 seconds, and another one has grown on me… so we! shall! SEE!
just for fun: 22 weeks with maddalena // 28 weeks with rocco
[and thank you for taking these, maggie!!! i love you for being my bestest enabler.]

You make pregnancy look so good! I wish I could have pulled off the whole fan belly in a bikini scenario! Italian boy names are tough I feel like! Guiseppe? Giovanni? Good luck here my friend!

grazie, my friend!! i’m used to being way, WAY larger this time of year, since i’ve had two july babies. this is just ??? but at least i’m not a whale yet. and YES. i love guiseppe, but my family is riddled with josephs, with more to come, so that’s conflicting to me. giovanni has always randomly been my favorite italian boys name!!! but i’ve literally even had someone mispronounce “rocco” so. i am wary in the south. literally, they called him “ro-ko.” and we were like… ??? fo real?
