lately!!! so many lately little things from around here to catch up on! can’t let ’em fall through the cracks, now can i!?
our sweet neighbors passed their old princess car on to the kiddos just recently… and the babes. are. obsessed! it’s so cute… and takes me back to the barbie jeep i had when i was maddalena’s age!
we’ve had friend time and birthday parties!! aaaaand we also had a whole solid week of the kiddos catching hand foot mouth disease. i’m going to go ahead and recommend NOT catching it. it was terrible. but friends and parties, i solidly recommend! [also, madd’s dress comes in a lot of options and they’re only $3.99 right now!!!! and rocco’s little onesie i’m obsessed with. both h&m!]
you might recall the sunroom floor mattress that got us through winter?! the time finally came to send it bye bye! believe me, there were tears. the kids played so much on that thing. but boy, am i happy to see the floor again! look at all! that! floor!
my mom met a guy at the antique shop that was selling his rescue horse. and do you know what happens when my mom meets a guy at the antique shop selling his rescue horse? days later, i found myself on that horse’s back… in a very large western saddle… in a very rocky, overgrown pasture. and i pretty much loved him. long story short, it looks like trooper the pretty unicorn is becoming a member of the farm!! 🙂
baby girl lost her first tooth, had her pre-k graduation ceremony, and then had her very LAST day of preschool!!! oh, and i know that was so bittersweet for her. she did not at all want to let go of her friends, teachers and 3 day a week routine. i totally get that! buuuuut wow, i’m ready for summer! like, i’m soooo, so excited to not be dedicated to a school routine. ahhhhhh!
also, since maddalena has a summer birthday, she decided she wanted to take a special treat to school for her class! we made it a very last minute, last day goodie… and thaaaaank you, publix, for making a darn good cookie!
…now bring us ALL the pool days!!!! which, i have already learned, is kind of the only activity there is for moms and babes in this heat that’s already setting in. try anything else and you’re going to hear a lot of “iiiiii’m hoootttttttttt, i’m HOTTTTTTT, i’m hotttttt!!!!!” so. this is where you’ll find us!!
ps!!!
-i listened to an interesting story on NPR the other day in regards to co-sleeping! i’ve been a big co-sleeper with my little ones, since it didn’t take long for me to find that we all slept so much better. [pretty big deal when you are oh so sleep deprived!] it’s been pretty natural for us, so i love learning the science and statistics behind it.
-can’t stop scoping out the memorial weekend sales!!! shopping fills voids, right? 😉
-i thoroughly enjoyed this peek at the new baby prince louis’ birth certificate. oh, sure, that’s what it says for my occupation on my babes’ birth certificates, too… perfectly normal!
-how AMAZING does this healthy oreo bowl look!! it’s a vegan recipe by someone i’ve followed on instagram for a little while. her hawaiian life looks heaaaavenly.
-!!!! 40% off shoes at target!! i need to make an actual target trip seriously majorly a lot, but i also need a good rainy day for that because i can’t waste sunshine being indoors. which… is where ordering comes in super handy, right?!
TA-TA!! happy memorial weekend!

Thanks for sharing the article on Co-sleeping! I co slept with my first born until we brought our second home, and now I sleep with him while my hubby is helping transition our 3.5 year old to his own bed. I couldn’t survive without co sleeping, as breastfeeding is a full time thing, and I love feeling my baby breathe and know he is safe! Co sleepers unite!

No one can pull off those boots and shorts combo quite like you. Believe me. So much change but it’s all very exciting right!? Especially because you have months to get used to the idea…. or so i tell myself.
