[i see you, spring!!!!]
our baby minnie winnie got her FIRST HAIRCUT!!!
oh my gosh. my little minnie! so, let me say… she is 10 years old now. and for her whole life, as you probably know, she’s been the fluffiest fluff around. so, this was a huge change! i mean, i’d thought about doing this for a while, but i was soooo hesitant to remove her signature fluff… it’s minnie! she’s fluffy!! but she loves it and she deserves it. in her older age, she has more struggles than a girl should have to deal with… overheating, skin issues, bad knees… it’s hard to see her aging, but i also really need to be able to keep track of her health, which is extra hard when it’s all hidden beneath the thickest black fur. so, to the doggy spa she went!! and i am so proud of her snuggly little self. she is still just the cutest thing ever, and she even gets to enjoy her own fur dog bed now instead of sleeping on our hard tile bathroom floor just to stay cool!! oh, my meemers, hoooow i love you! and how i really love your un-stinkiness and minimized fur-balls!
sidenote! i just really need to point out, in case i haven’t lately, that i think my little humans are theee funniest people ever. there’s literally no one i’d rather spend 99% of my time with. on this particular day, i was watching them play out back at the farm from the comfort of my indoor chair when maddalena swung the door open simply to yell, “IT’S PICTURE TIME!!” and popped right back out. it was golden hour!! DUH!!! that is myyyyy girl. you know i obliged her cute little self.
speaking of!! HAPPY DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME!!!!! come on, you guys, we can handle the hour change! pour yourself an extra cup of coffee, and just THINK of the pretty evenings we have ahead!! bring on the golden hours!!!
[ps. anyone else throw birthday parties for their fluff before they had actual human children? complete with gifts? and cake? haha!! oh, minnie!!! i love her so much. and omg, she was theee cutest bearcub of a tiny puppy ever.]

I love the hairdo Minnie girl! You look so very adorable! And I’m jealous of your golden hour views. Ah. Soon enough! We will warm up eventually right?

Awww…sweet Minnie looks adorable with her spring hair cut. I keep my 14 year old Maltese cut short and he looks so cute. A day at the doggie spa both terrifies him as we drive there, but he is so happy, cute and frisky when we get him home. It’s like when the hair goes, the years are shed, too.
Our friends keep their Pom cut short and I’ve always thought he was a cutie, too.
Snowing, sleeting and raining in NC today. UGH!!! I do NOT enjoy winter weather and can NOT wait for spring and summer. I love 80 degrees and sun!
Thankfully a trip to Florida in 20 days keeps me going……
As always, love your pics. You and Madd do a great job with the camera!
