so, perhaps we are a smidge behind on this… but actually! considering i don’t think i’ve seen a movie in a movie theater in 7 years, [!!!!! like, whaaaat.] i’m pretty proud of this one…
we fiiinally saw the greatest showman! after i heard enough great things about the film, we made a little matinee girl date of it… maddalena, my mom and i! [ugh, except i feel terrible because we literally waited for my sis to get back in town to go together, and then it didn’t work out! i’m still sorry, christina, still sorry!!!]
anyway, it totally lived up to the hype for me. so much talent. such a great theme. it made me wanna tear up the whole time… aaaand i love that it was *actually* pretty family friendly… because this was also baby girl’s very first time having a big, official, grownup movie experience!! big bag of popcorn and all! it was so so cute to hear her singing when every song came on. we’ve been listening to the soundtrack for weeks and that made it even more fun. i might also add that we have a brand new theater near us with the big reclining seats and such… it hasn’t even acquired that grimy movie theater feeling yet… a clean-ish theater experience! i mean!!
and! zac efron’s musical comeback since high school musical?! um, let’s just say, if you were my roommate in college, [or my sister when we saw HSM 3 in theaters and i maybe cried at the final scene. haha.] well, then you KNOW i’ve been waiting for this moment. but i thought everyone was fantastic! hugh. [what can’t he do?!] and… michelle. [come so far from dawson’s creek, yes?] and… everyone else. so so good! it’s one of those movies that’s just pretty to look at, too. the whole thing, so beautiful.
boom. time to go back! tell me you’ve seen it?!
[ps! the only top i’m happy in these days is less than $30 here or here. i want this top too, though, so someone tell me if it goes on sale! enough is never enough when i have visions of chill, swingy tops to go with my shortsies on chilly summer evenings!]

YAYAYAYAY!!! So glad that you three had a girl’s trip to the movies.
My hubby and I saw The Greatest SHowman right after it’s release and we LOVED it. My husband really loves movies and music and he came right home to buy the music. It was SO GOOD!
Hugh, oh my goodness, he was great as were the other actors/actresses.
I tell everyone to go see it!!! It will be an addition to our movie collection one day.

I can’t wait to see this!! I usually save my theater budget for Star Wars films and then wait till the movies are available at the $3 theater. I’m dying for this one though. Oh such a big lady too! Officially doing big girl official things!
Brittany says
the $3 theater!!! well, i need one of those!!! well, we are similar… we usually just wait and rent everything! but this was totally worth it!!!
