…i love that summer is just about here!! i’m already thinking about hot poolside afternoons and wild blackberries.
…i REALLY love that it means i don’t really have to dress my children unless we’re about to leave the house and go somewhere! and on that note, gosh, back yards and outside toys and water tables are just the very best things for us right now.
…i love looove the coffee table jazz playlist on spotify right now. it’s been a classic backdrop in my day lately!!
…IN LOVE: we finally watched la la land, and oh. my. gosh! we ended up watching it both friday night and saturday night, and all four of us completely enjoyed it. what a piece of art, that movie! i mean, as if i needed another reason to love ryan gosling. haha. but emma stone!! i knew she was funny, but she totally proves herself as true hollywood material, if you ask me. i love how it harkens back to the days where all movie stars were talented enough to sing and dance. oh, it was such an easy watch that had me totally sucked in, noticing all the little details, and then suddenly! there i am with all. the. feelings. so, yes. i loved it. and i should probably find a discussion group for it because i have so many thoughts! i keep re-watching my favorite scene [except… they’re all amazing], and my little lady clone totally has my back, making sure that soundtrack is playing over and over and over again for the most recent like, 36 hours. 🙂
…ahhh, i love that we finally tore out our horribly diseased rosebushes in our front yard! and by we, i def mean stevo. anyone have suggestions for good flowering plants for the front yard?! i’m trying to find something that won’t look like a pile of sticks for the whole winter. gardenias are a consideration, but i think they might be a little bit finicky for our zone [which is 7a, i believe]!
…and very important: i have declared [to myself, in my own head] that these current favs shall be absolutely obnoxiously on repeat aaall summer!! because i love them just that much… floral top. it is so soft!!! // bandits shorts. yes, on-purpose holes are a ridiculous millennial thing, i agree! but i literally wear these every day, and i justify with the fact that we don’t really wear jeans that make genuinely great cut-off shorts anymore, so we have to buy them! // similar scalloped tote. i found mine at the teej [maxx, that is], and it silently cried out to me with it’s insanely reasonable price tag. so, i said, hi blush totey, you are miiine!! // similar RM sandals. i actually love the gladiator version more. // ray-ban aviators. the classics, of course! my giraffe neck will also be on display all summer. i don’t know why my neck is so giraffey. maybe to help hold up all my hair. i mean… brain. yes, my big brain!
…and!! what i love the most most mostest?!
DEAR BABIES, you two are just flat out of control with your crazy delicious sweetness! we have hard days and we have easy days, but they’re all good, because i am the luckiest. I LOVE YOU!! ♡

I’ll join your discussion group!!! Love it! You thinking flowering all summer long or just once and done but stays green? Our rhodendron blooms in spring and then stays green all the year long….
Brittany says
hmm good question!!!! i honestly really wish i could just put roses back, but i am pretty sure the last ones were diseased so i don’t want to plant new ones only to have more diseased ones. so blooms are ideal. all summer would be great. but the fact that roses turn into sticks all winter is a downside. i’m looking for something evergreen!! i’ll look at rhodendrons around here!!! thanks lady!!!
