so! i was telling my dad one evening on the beach that i’d never once come across any sea glass on the beach before, but i’d recently heard that you could find it on ours. i didn’t even truly know what sea glass was… but if it could be found, then obviously, i wanted to find some!
so, the next evening, as we strolled and frolicked around on the beach… i browsed through all the pretty, pretty shells, being the nature-gypsy treasure-hunter that i aim to be… and low! and! be! hold! i looked down and spotted SEA GLASS!! somehow, i just happened upon three little pieces of beautiful green sea glass. and then my mom spotted a good sized pretty clear-ish piece. yay!!!!!!
as it turns out, sea glass is man-made glass that’s been tumbled around in the ocean for nearly a decade, which gives it a unique frosted exterior with rounded edges. pretty instresing! [as my madd girl would say!] so, in all my years of beachin’ it here, how was this never on my radar until recently?! iiiiii just don’t really know. but i just couldn’t believe that the one and only time i mentioned my need to find my very own… i did! basically, i feel like i have special mermaid powers. 🙂
anyway! these are the things that keep me going, i tell you! little treasures!! sea glass! mission accomplished.

I am 110% shocked you have never heard of this!!! My Grammy always had a whiskey sniffer glass full of found sea glass when we lived in Maine. She gave it to Letty to hold on to now. They are the best finds though! So so smooth!!
