…the air is officially COLD around here!!
the temp drop was pretty maj over the weekend, and we had that first cold-weather test-run that tells you if you are at all prepared to keep your bear cubs warm over the next several months! coats? hats? footwear? it looks like we miiiight survive, but brrrrr!!
highlights of hibernation so far include: coffee all day, round two of steven’s family stew recipe, de-pilling sweaters with one of those little sweater shavers [awesome kid activity all the way], indoor plant rearranging [i love you, plants!], football for steven, late night lifetime & hallmark cheesy christmas movies for me, properly adjusting wine o’clock to coincide with a much earlier sunset, such beautiful sky colors!! steven and maddalena falling asleep snuggled together if we leave them alone for 4 seconds, a few christmas tunes, cozy babes in footy pajamas, sparkles and glitter all over every store, and the cutest kiddos all running around in puffy coats!!
…also, this blurry little shot from a sunday afternoon park celebration with friends sends me right on down to heartbreak city. oh, the secondborn problems!! bless his baby boy heart, rocco is in the full swing of trying to keep up with his big sis. it’s precious and it kills me all at once!

Oh the younger brothers. Before you know it though he will be running right alongside them don't you worry! Then perhaps your daughter will be kinder than mine and she will let him play with her and her friends. The cold weather does sure seem to be here to stay. So bundle up little! And lots of layers. Sigh.
oh i hope she is kind about it!!! i sure wasn't with my brother, though!!! ironic, right, because now i beg my siblings to hang out with me. haha!!
