last sunday morning…
my precious big girl slept the whole night through in her own big girl princess bed… which is always a little bittersweet! she usually makes her way into our bed in the night… but i’m so proud! then she dressed herself adorably from a pile of clothes she’d completely outgrown before coming to snuggle with me. we waited for mr. rocco to wake up on the other side of me in the bed, which is my idea of absolute heaven, i might add! those two come by their attachments honestly, that’s for sure. 😉
once we were all up, i had my beloved cup[s] of joe while steven and his tiniest lady started whipping up their sunday morning pancakes. that baby girl, oh, does she just love making pancakes with her daddy! he doesn’t eat them, either, so it’s really just to make her feel special, and i absolutely adore that. and i must say, they are truly the fluffiest, best pancakes ever. meanwhile, i was in charge of eggs and sausage… and yuuum! can we just have breakfast for every meal, please? also, pizza counts!
then steven and maddalena headed off to church! maddalena now loves loves loves going to sunday school. rocco, not so much! so, while i’d previously really been trying to get us all ready and out the door every sunday for months, sometimes it’s a little holier of an experience for me to stay behind and wash breakfast dishes, read my devotional, and rock my baby while listening to worship music on pandora.
and then of course, rocco boy entertained me with his snazzy slide tricks ’til everyone was back home. guess he’s not such a baby, after all! and iiii just cannot get enough of him and his squishy little nose scrunch! every little thing he does is magic. and dangerous. but magic! and also… dangerous. 🙂
…and that’s a sunday morning around here lately!
and ps! sunday morning pancakes just before maddalena was born!

He truly is into everything isn't he? Oh such a BOY!! I actually just had a rude awakening that we need to get back into the church scene and that's my goal for Sunday. But you just have to do you, you know? After all it is just a building. Like Papa Walton used to say, you can worship God anywhere.

he is, he is suuuuch a boy!! it's so funny the difference, but i could not love it more. and oh, my mom *LOVES* the waltons! haha! no. like, really. i told her you shared that sentiment! and it's true!! i think fellowship is important, but you can and should worship anywhere and everywhere. i often prefer nature, fo. sho.
