look who took me on a little day date! just a handsome gent willing to buy me some starbucks treats. that’s my kinda guy, right there! and i really must note, also, that even though it prickles us all, i always love the look of that extra face scruff! adding ruggedness to your handsome = yes please!
…okay, i’m totally getting distracted here because now i’m thinking about dirty cowboy boots… yes, yes please to those, too! buuuut, i digress…
anyway, day dates are my jaaaam! as are coffee dates! and really, that’s kinda how our whole relationship got started, now that i think about it… it was high school! and you know, that was back in the frappuccino days. remember those? i almost forgot about them! then, there were the strongly-flavored latte days… vanilla, mocha, white mocha. i remember him surprising me with those on the reg. 🙂 and these days! well, these are most certainly the regular coffee days. mine: latte, his: iced. look how far we’ve come!
coffee maturity is what every relationship seeks, yes? 😉
so, lately, especially, we’ve both realized that we just need to stop and catch up with each other more often. and now that our little bunny #1 is old enough to want to hang out with people who aren’t me, bunny #2 is a little more chill and doesn’t nurse as obsessively as bunny #1 did, and our house is thisclose to multiple places that sell coffee, as well as other important foodstuffs… well, it’s a little bit easier for us to squeeze some little dates in! yay!
i mean, it’s no secret that it’s not always easy to be two different people doing two different things all day. and isn’t that the irony of marriage?! you tie the knot to ultimately spend more time apart than you do together! who came up with that plan?! unless, of course, you’re one of those really cool coworker team couples. gah, i love those! we, however, are not that couple. not right now, at least.
but! what we do have!!
…love! sunshine! someone else’s frisbee! and the inevitable brittany tongue face. he’s sooo lucky i don’t have a selfie-stick.

Y'all are too cute! I love the coffee of choice timeline haha Spot on with needing time to catch up with each other! We need to work on this too and it is tough with busy schedules…we also find ourselves talking about our kids on our dates…a lot but they are so cute how can we NOT talk about them right?! But yes so important to connect with each other and have time just as husband and wife! Cheers to that!
