bloom where you are planted!
i’m seeing a whole lot of that saying these days, and i think it’s a good little notion, yes?
steven and i were just talking recently about how we want to do the best we can to help our little ones find their passions as they grow… know who they are… identify their strengths and learn to be the very best at being their own wonderful selves and nobody else! i pray each day that they are able to bloom and flourish no matter what life hands them… especially given the fact that next thing you know, you’re 18 and most likely staring at a course catalog that’s telling you to pick a future, any future! personally, i chose mine a few times, and still, i’m clearly not in graphic design, psychology, or PR. 😉
so, honestly! it’s kind of something you never stop doing, right? i’ve been so many things throughout my years so far, some of which were never going to be my thing [jazz hands? nope!], and some are still major parts of my identity! although, at times i still think… am i missing something? a calling that i’ve been blind to? [haha. probably not. i didn’t leave that many viable stones unturned… but still!] the most important one for me right now is feathering my little nest of birdies, anyway. 🙂 and even though i definitely don’t knock it out of the park on most days, i’m sure always trying!
plus, these actual blooms that are now surrounding where we’re planted are making me the happiest!
and so! here’s to blooming!
[ps. m is lo-o-oving her non-toxic piggy paint nail polish we recently got since she always requires a coat of lovely on her nails! also, my luxuriously springy, floral sweater thanks to one of my favs, garnet hill!]
