loving: cozy fires, slow january days [hallelujah!], family snuggles, my bath tub, a fresh new hair snip snip! the ugg houseshoes steven got me for christmas, remembering to put cinnamon in my coffee, everything fur, everything gold! records on the record player, maddalena’s current ballerina obsession, rocco’s whole-face smile full of sunbeams, the wonderful antique high chair my daddy spruced up for us… and the view out our upstairs/main floor windows! our little hill looks out over a few farms, and you know nothing makes me happier than a good farm view. it’s just crazy to me how quickly our house has started to feel like home, and i love it.
feeling: ooooh… everything! this video laurie sent me had me sobbing into napkins while maddalena danced around me, sweetly eating her little apple. and honestly, i LIVE for posts like this that make me feel like i’m maaaybe not alone in my feelings and entirely inadequate! ha. but for real, being a grown up mom person is hard! pass me all the emotional validation, please!
wishing: the daylight would last longer in the evenings. but at least we’re past winter solstice! also, that i didn’t actually need to sleep… edward cullen style… i could do so much with my night hours!
needing: aaaaall the coffee. in the world! and i’m pretty majorly overdue on clearing out my iphone’s camera roll.
remembering: when my lady baby was boy bunny’s age… 6 months! it was a big turning point then, and it is again now. i’m all kinds of sentimental over how quickly babyhood is lost, but it’s also such fun to see them growing into precious and wonderful small people!
hearing: the biebs. he’s back! woo! i am still mad that he ruined his arms with tat sleeves, though. someone needs to have a word with pattie about that. [ps. love yourself he wrote with ed sheeran. ahhh, no wonder it’s good!!]
dreaming: of prettying up our little kitchen one day… we love our kitchen, but hey, a girl can dream of spiffy white cabinets! that’s all i’m sayin.’ 🙂
extra thankful for: my horsey turning 29 next month, yaaay! milestones, people! also, my new macbook, duh. liiife changing! thanks for keepin’ me covered, stevey!
