as we have in years past, steven and the baby bunnies and i did a little post-christmas unwinding near the ever-adorable seaside, florida with his side of the fammy fam. [seaside is where the truman show was filmed, remember that movie? so good! i always think of that!] pretty much all i ask for after christmas is a nap or two, a little stroll, and lots of coffee! and that is what we did!
also, the photo of little maddalena with her daddy looking off at the big christmas tree had me so sentimental about how fast our babes are growing!! seems like just yesterday baby girl was rocco’s age. and then of course, last year, rocco was just the tiniest of belly snuggles. and this year!! well, we sat marveling at maddalena’s growing pony tail of ringlets and rocco’s own itty bitty baby curls on top of his head! theee best!
i just couldn’t be more thankful for my sweet people! and coffee. and cuddles. and baby curls.
…aaand the fact that rocco isn’t nearly as bad a car seat traveler as his wonderful big sister was at his age! whew, such a relief. thanks, baby boy! the bruised ribs from leaned over carseat nursing were totally worth it, ps. high five for that travel technique. and! for the record, maddalena is an absolute rock star car partner these days! 😉
It is great as they age there can be some conversation and even bribing to make the car rides more enjoyable. Oh they are just getting so big! And I loveThe Truman Show. Gorgeous. All of it.
