as always, we had a whole slew of celebrating to do around thanksgiving!
since both of our families live in town, we typically have two days of delicious thanksgiving meals… and then my birthday plops itself somewhere on or near those days, as well!
with everything we’ve had going on with moving and house fix-ups and two fulfilling thanksgiving days… i have to say, it was hard for me to wake up and feel like my birthday was super significant! however, stevey brought me my coffee in bed [love language alert], lit a pretty fire in the fireplace, we got some great house stuff accomplished… and we celebrated with my favorite fam peeps that evening! it was just perfect. a perfect way to turn 29. which is the age i will be turning every year for the next 50 years, just fyi.
plus, having now provided two other little beings with birthdays of their own, i realize just what a special day it truly is! i mean, i’m pretty glad to have been all born and stuff for all these year. 🙂
aaand the most exciting part of the whole three days of celebrating *might* be that we finally bought a new couch, haaaallelujah! it should be here any day now and it will be liiiife chaaaanging. i. can’t. wait!
anyway, thank you so much for everything, fams!! xoxoxo
next stop: christmas tree city!! oh, yep, we’re just a smidgen behind on that one this year. and if any elves want to pop in from the north pole and hang some toilet paper holders… and stain our new railings… and replace the carpet in our bathroom closet… and paint the family room cabinets… well, we wouldn’t stop them!

haha I also turned 29 (two weeks ago). I plan on being stuck at that age forever. Or better… bdays can start going backwards, so next year I will turn 28 🙂
Happy belated birthday! Sounds like it was a good one!!

Such special moments you have here. A new couch can be everything. And oh please elves come and help you! Maybe I should send Matt! 😉

Isn't it crazy how different birthdays become when you're a Mom?? I think about them so differently now and always tell my Mama thank you now on my bday ha

happy (late) birthday! And lucky you.. I had to celebrate my 30th birthday earlier this November… waaa! I only had mild panic the night before knowing if I went to sleep, I would wake up thirty…. =) So far, I'm surviving=)
And the new house sounds lovely!
