gosh. there are just no words! i really could not be more proud of you, your 4 months, and your every single inch of deliciousness. there are so many things about you that i want to absorb and carry with me until the very end of time: your smell, your cuddly body, your giggles, grunts, and squeals, your little balled up fists, the way your whole face lights up when you smile! the way you’ve been watching and taking in the whole world through your big, twinkly blue eyes since you were born, how much you love your feetsies and soft blankies, how you think your sister is the very best ever… and how you act all cool and collected so much of the time, then i’m always a little relieved to find that if i hand you off to someone else, you often follow me with your eyes until you just can’t take it anymore because you still mostly want mommy. 😉 but then oh, the way you beam when you look up at your daddy!! <3 you are so genuinely charming and i’m really just a constant melted heart puddle!
your babyhood is going faster by the day and i’m so afraid that if i blink, you’ll be off to prom or some silly nonsense like that. [ridiculous, right!?] but oooh, my rocco! it’s such an incredible blessing to have you around, and i’m so grateful for every moment i get with you… especially the rare little moments just with you! to feel your warmth, lock eyes, share a smile. your smile is theeeeee best! it brightens my whole world every single time.

Adorbs! Isn't it fun to watch them each month as a second time mama and think back to how different or the same the two kiddos are?!! Even certain toys Joa plays with in a total different way than Mia did, so fun to see their little personalities grow and develop 🙂

Goodness! Four months can go too fast! I hate that about life. It's heart breaking. Oh these babies. He's so adorable. And wonderful. Baby smiles…. My love language.
