oooh!! this time of year! it’s kind of a funny one, yes?
to some it means fashion shows… to some it means football season [ahem, miss you already, beloved husband!]… to many around here it means attack of the fall allergies, yiiikes! to others it means, get me a PSL and all things pumpkin, STAT!
and to me? well, to me it meeeans…
…prepping to make my own pumpkinny coffee delight!
…adorable fall wardrobe planning for my two baby bunnies [just sent a huuuge bag into thredup, too! YES. such a game changer. especially when it comes to baby clothes and my need for cozy sweaters.]
…not to mention, what shall the bunnies be for halloween?! i mean. maybe they should be… bunnies! although, i’m pretty sure maddalena is already planning to go as sofia the first… and i am totally in favor of her going as a princess every year. also, sofia actually has a bunny! now, that is so perf.
…each night saying in horror as if it’s the very first time, “it’s only 7?! and it’s already DARK OUT!” ew, you know? that part’s honestly my most dreaded.
…but oh, the smell of those heavenly cinnamon brooms in the grocery store!!
…it also means my tops and my shoes begin to take on a bit more coverage while my shorts remain itty, and that’s just my fall happy place right there. just wait til the uggies come out of hiding! because cozy tops plus uggs plus shorts is my malibu coffee shop jam, and isn’t that what they’re all saying in new york and milan about now? π
…and of course it means figuring out each new day and season with my babes. i love them ridiculously and every season brings such fun new things for them and for us as their parents. maddalena says all these great things now like she’s this hilarious and deep and intelligent and cool 14 year old… and rocco is such a delicious dreamboat i want nothing more than to put his squishy face on the cover of tigerbeat magazine and pull out the posters from inside and stick them on my closet door because he is aaahmazing.
…so, alllll kiiiiinds of cuddles!!
…oh, and a campfire! campfire soon!!
…but speaking of new seasons, i accidentally already mentally pictured our family all cozied up for the christmas season, tree and record player and all… and i liked it! i mean, i used to be the *queen* of way-way-too-early-christmas-everything-including-music-in-september, but these days it tends to just send adult brittany right into an anxiety attack. however! this year we are crossing our fingers for a little bit of change around here, potentially involving our cabin fever being located in a new cabin, and that thought just makes my pinterest boards very, very happy.
…what else, what else, what else! how ’bout some good fall organizing? hot tea! pretty fall flowers. and naturally, perfect porch time at the farm. and soon probably about a thousand pictures of pretty colored leaves before they all disappear for a spell. but nooot quite yet!!
…and clearly, there’s probably a haircut in my near future. π

A new cabin eh? Now that's exciting! It's so difficult to not jump ahead and be picturing holidays with the new family right? Not going to say I don't have the kid's costumes because I so do! Letty chose a Star Wars theme and well she is queen bee and she rules. And by the way yes to the uggs!!! Forever and ever.

I hate how it's getting dark out earlier and earlier, I miss the long days of summer. But yay for cinnamon brooms and pretty fall flowers and hot tea <3

It is hard waking up to the dark and I don't love it getting dark too fast either! I do love the fall leaves, the pumpkin and the snuggle weather too π
