a big pink easter basket left by the bunny! a sweet little girl with the craziest bedhead, the most on-time visit to church we’ve ever pulled off ;), a dress that fits me, baby bump and all, yay! some family bunny hops to make our maddalena laugh, a weekend of a whole bunch of mini-egg hunts, and a delicious farmhome brunch and dinner by my sweet mommy… something i missed verrrryy much being away on easter last year! [oh, but if not in nashville, where else would i rather be?!]
really, i could just not be more grateful for my people and my life and all the gifts we get to enjoy each day because Jesus loves us. and now maddalena’s at an age where she loves songs like “Jesus love me,” and says things like, “hey mommy, remember how Jesus loves us? and remember how we love Jesus?!” and i pretty much melt. it’s not something we sit and drill into her, either, it’s just the way we want to live [i mean, we try!]… so to hear her little mind already dwelling on the reason for our every day, i just couldn’t love it more!
and ps, it was sooo tempting to go ahead and fill up a blue easter basket for a tiny mr. someone this year! but i had a chat with my practical side [she’s smart and she wins most of the time] and so, i didn’t. 😉 i mean, the easter bunny didn’t. he prefers that kids breathe oxygen and stuff first, so, all in good time, right! aaaall in good time!i hope everyone had a beautiful easter weekend!!
