[maddalena’s photography skills!! we left her little cam at the house, so i promised she could take a few pictures with mine on our walk. her dedication to just the *right* shot melts my heart every time!]
[gosh, i love that girl!]
ahhh, it has been so amazing to have some good, sunshiney days here lately!! it’s like… those days where you just know spring is right around the corner, even if the forecast is screaming, “iiiit’s stiiill coooooold!” and the groundhog is screaming, “iiiit’s stiiiill winterrrr!” i mean, we only have 23 days left until our sunsetty hours start rolling back into our lives, so weeee can do it!!
and, so! even though i won’t rest until they give me weather in the increasing degrees of 80s [i know, i have high weather standards! sorry!], madd and i have been making a point during our weeks to absorb some pretty sunshine when it peeps its golden face out out here and there. one day last week that meant layering up and finally pulling the stroller out of its wintery slumber, which was ooh so nice! little birdies chirped all around us, big green vines dangled over the flowing river, and we warmed ourselves under the sunbeams, peeling off layers as we went. and one of my favorite things about our stroller is totally that it tells you what the temperature is on its little info screen as you’re walking! oh, thaaat’s right, speak to me in my love language, stroller! and yes, yes, i do seem to have a plethora of self-determined love languages… pasta. casey. weather. i make a really exciting date!! 😉
so, anyway, as we walked, i couldn’t help but think to myself about just how easy it feels now, having one toddler running around with me… and wondering how on earth it will look with two babes! will maddalena just want to walk on our future walks? or will she still want to stroll and baby will go carrier-style like madd did most of the time when she was tiny? of course, easy is relative. easy comes once you forget how easy life used to be, so i’m sure we’ll figure it out. riiiight!?! we will. i know we will.
oooor hey! maybe this’ll work…
…yes, yes, perfect!! you just keep right on practicing there, little lady!!
ps. i just looked outside and… it’s snowing. snowing! haha. oooh well! soon enough!!
