well, once miss maddalena was born, she let me know that she indeed shares my perspective on the matter… ironically, motherhood is the one thing that’s taught me to appreciate my sleep time! so, while i can only hope it benefits her greatly one day when she’s the mama of her own little sleep-fighting princess… until then, i guess we’ll just keep up our super fabulous zero expertise achievement status in the ole nap and sleep department!
best advice out of this house pretty much always circles back to strawberry greek yogurt and curious george. but hey! i’m not one to argue with whatever works! [i say as maddalena wakes up from her evening nap in the garage in the carseat. she fell asleep on the way home, so, oooh, that’s right! whatever works!]

haha. this made me smile. at least it looks like she isn't cranky! so it must work for her. my little 10 week old is not a napper. and night time sleep is so-so.

sleep is hard!!! i have always sympathized when maddalena didn't want to sleep because i always feel the same, but now i'm like, you're a baby, just do it!! you have the rest of your life to be awake! haha!

Ha! This post is pure gold. I love it all. And both of your sweet faces!!!! I agree- naps are overrated. Althouuuugh now that I'm a mom, I definitely value sleep more than I ever did before! But still, snuggles and cute photo shoots? Now THOSE I can get behind 100%! 😉

you are the sweetest!! i have sooo always thought sleep to be overrated, but now i either 1.) need it, or 2.) need everyone else in the house to be asleep!! haha!

Naps are such confusing times. If I was so tired that I would say go to pieces over a pair of shoes I would most definitely nap. I would embrace the nap. I've tried whatever I could think of to make it happen. But well. Letty has been nap free since she was two. I gave up fighting it.
Adorable skirt/tutu she has there!!
LifeofCharmings says
ahhh yes, the skirt/tutu/dress is none other than a frozen anna & elsa number my mother-in-law brought over! haha! she wore it for two days and since then we've been carrying it around the house from room to room with us on its original anna & elsa hanger. naturally!

Naps are usually my enemy, too, and I passed that on to my little guy. Lately I've left home in enough time to run errands, have fun, and be heading back home right around his nap time. If I time it right he falls asleep right before we turn into our neighborhood! I love the pictures of her naps in random places- I haven't been lucky enough to find my little guy asleep anywhere crazy, but I have a feeling it will happen! I'm with you- I don't stress about it too much. We sleep when we feel like it!
LifeofCharmings says
yes, so so perfect if you can time the car nap just right!! glory and thank you, car naps!!
