i’m pretty sure this last sunday was maybe the 4th or 5th or somethingth perfect sunday in a row… we’re totally on a roll! hey heeeey…
we finally got up and got ourselves to church! it was tough for a while when maddalena was smaller [we’ve still streaming church on sundays, however], but we decided that at this point we’re out of excuses to continue our hiatus. granted, it still involves one of us walking around with miss madd while the other listens, but we’re getting there, so high fiiive! [*please read that high five part in borat voice because i will never say high five in non-borat voice, because that would just be silly.]
i guess i’m the kind of person that takes a snapchat photo like this, says out loud “i look like a bird trying to eat something out of the air,” and then saves it, and then sends it, because that’s exactly what i did here. although, i mostly just liked it because steven looks so handsome. as usual. 🙂 // when steven and i dated i loved going to the grocery store together. then we grew up and the grocery store was so boring because i mostly had to go all alone. then maddalena was born and the grocery store was fun again! and now when we all go together iiiii love it. i love regular life.
welcome to the official season of flowers every single day! yay! i can’t get enough. and they smell so heavenly. i mean, are there winter flowers? how is it that we get through without these beauties for so many months?!
maddalena took this picture of my braid!! i cannot get enough of her photography these days, and i have been meaning to compile a collection of some of her best works, because seeing everything from her tiny perspective just makes me giggle in an absolute fit of love explosions. // oh, my favorite topless babes. i can’t even get enough of the daddy loving stage we’re in around here. it’s the most presh.
besties at mexi! [maggie, don’t tell matt i said “besties,” okay, because i feel like he would hate it as much as he hated “neighbies,” but sorry!] lucy calls cheersing “bangers,” although we recently learned that there is a less appropriate meaning to bangers [or two, but we learned about a new one.], but in toddler land it means cheersing, so bangers it is. also, cheersing is still my favorite.
mia + lemon foooor life, and oh my goodness, i love these two sweet babies so much i just want to squeeze them both all the time, but instead we just take pictures while they squeeze each other. well. while lucy squeezes maddalena, but clearly she loves it!
when we decided over dinner last night that we needed a more recent photo of all six of us, that word six just totally hit me and i could not believe there were six of us. we used to be couple friends… now we’re family friends, mom friends, dad friends, and baby friends and that is kind of mind blowing! but i love it. i love it so much.

Hooray for getting back to church! It's nice as they get bigger and bigger how the freedoms come back to us! 🙂
I LOVE the picture she took. It's awesome. You're so right, their little small perspectives are so amazing to get a glimpse into!

I always say "very excite" in a borat voice as well. There is literally no other way for it to be said. There ARE winter flowers and they are called hellabore or a christmas rose. They bloom around here in probably February? White mostly, but I've grown green and a purpley color. I can't speak to how they smell because it's cold out there. And that last picture has just reminded me that we have to do the same with our old neighbors…. we went from just four to eight and wow! Time!

Your little family is the cutest and Maddalena's photo skills are impressive! I love regular life too, especially grocery shopping with the hubby and babe, it's the best.

Good for you for getting to church with the little one! I'm 7 months pregnant and it was enough just get ME dressed and out the door for church at 8am this past Sunday. I said to my husband, how am I going to be able to get the baby ready too?? Guess I'll just have to get up a whole lot earlier! Your church outfit is quite adorable by the way. -Meg
