on this past laid back sunday morning, it apparently dawned on maddalena rose that it was totally and most definitely her duty to serve our little household great quantities of tea right then and there. and so! in the late morning of that cozy day, we circled up in the nursery, sipped our tea, and had very extremely important conversations.
since that morning, of course, we have had several significant tea sippings hosted by lady maddalena, each time serving minnie in the yellow cup, “meow meow” in the blue cup, the princess doll in the light pink cup, and mama in the dark pink cup… maddalena’s personal preference being the little yellow creamer thing. march to your own beat, girl, you own that cream pourer! anyway. we say things like “tea!” and “hot!” and “more!” and we do a whole lot of pouring. then the princess doll tries a bit of each tea partier’s tea, but in the end she only wants her tea.and yes yes, as i am generally unwilling to not at least attempt to capture the best of all the littlest moments, i made sure to sneak out my iphone during our premiere sunday morning tea time and capture away in the form of some of the grainiest shots possible. [i swear, once my iphone hits 2,000 photos the camera is just constantly on the fritz! time to go through them again…] but! i have this theory, okay? that the crappier the photos are, the sweeter the actual memory. 😉 it’s maybe a terrible theory, but it does makes me feel all sentimental! chalk it up to charm.
…naturally, dada came inside and was immediately served some post-workout tea, because every obsessive fitness lover knows that imaginary tea is the best thing for your muscles. duh.tea parties for life.

Isn't it something to watch the routines unfold? These kids man. They never cease to amaze me. She likes her tea parties the way she likes them and that is that. And such a good daddy for playing along. Which I'm sure you know.

i love this! and dig your theory on the crappier the photos – the better. because well, we can't have fancy photos all the time!
