she turned her hands the color of childhood and sunshine and cheese, then we lounged in the grass with some very favorite people and searched far and wide for four-leaf clovers [sister found two!]. i hosed off my very dirty minnie with a stream of chilly well water, and had a good giggle as one of our other horses, comet, left his big pink tongue sticking right out of his mouth after taking some horsey-sized gulps of water.
and just as it’s been since i was a very small girl, my happy place definitely, definitely remains a big ole grassy field on a sunshiney afternoon.
[okay, so i have two happy places.]

in other news from around here!
we finally watched frozen weekend before last with some neighbor friends, and we’ve been singin’ those tunes in the car ever since! because, princess voices, sing loud! ps. in heaven, can i puhlease be an idina/kristen princess voice hybrid? anyway, i love seeing what a craze is all about. this one i am happy to embrace, and more importantly, maddalena approves! although, we are glad to finally not actually be frozen.
i have so been craving a return to italy lately, which has had me perusing our old italy photos on the reg and working out secret plans in my head on how to get back to the old country. although, when i think about an overseas flight, a toddler, and recent world mysteries… i have a near panic attack. so. my best plan so far is to invent a machine that beams you places. working on it!
aaalso, i had my first margarita in years the other night, and it tasted exactly like college! but mostly it tasted like sugar, which is… mostly… why i don’t drink them. i mean, i just really like to stick to my wine, you know? but it was fun and summertimey and those are some of my fav qualities in any kind of noun, really!
other than that, well, i’m maybe just spending all my free thoughts worrying over my baby’s everything, my kitty’s hopefully recovering bladder, my busy husband, my horse’s weight and whether or not minnie is feeling a little neglected? i sure hope not. anyway, you should see my google search history 😉
but, anyway! hi, i’m brittany! won’t you take me to my happy place!

Love frozen! It's the cutest thing. I've decided I need a little Olaf too 🙂 With his own personal snow cloud.
And Italy. I need to see that baby girl of yours with an Italian backdrop in the cutest of outfits and perhaps some little ballet shoes. Eek. Maybe just do a faux backdrop for now until you figure out a teleport solution 🙂

If you figure out the machine let me know. I've come to grips with the fact my two may not be there until they are in middle school. So sad.
P.s. Loved your comment today. Made me laugh. You're a funny one you. And I like it.

Isn't the music from Frozen seriously addicting? I can't get the tunes out of my head! Yeah – traveling internationally is a bit frightening with a little one. Did it before at 3.5 months and doing it again at 18 months. I'm scared a toddler will be much harder to contain for so many hours. Hopefully she'll watch Frozen over and over again and be happy? :/

Oh gosh..I can't say no to margaritas. I LOVE THEM. Every time I drink one I pretend I'm on a beach somewhere singin' Kenny Chesney songs. TRUE STORY. And the frozen songs? I burst out into random song on the regular.. my oldest is like, Really Mom. Stop singing.
