[a relaxing little morning, sipping coffee with my cutest people]
[a beautiful afternoon, some happy, dirty horses… a happy, dirty minnie!]
[an evening with best friends, some cheersing, a few baby cuddles!]
this last sunday was a such glorious day that i think we all just really needed around here…
we slept in a little, and woke up to warm sunlight creeping in the windows. we got to relax and just enjoy each other over our coffee all morning, which really hasn’t been happening nearly enough lately! we laughed as maddalena clip clopped down the hall in a pair of my heels and then proceeded to take some “photos” of everybody. [we gave her our old, broken camera to play with, and she gets darn good use out of it!] but the shoes! oh, the shoes. that girl is always wearing a pair of my shoes, often my heels, and she’s almost better at walking in them than i am, i’m pretty sure. so, between the lip gloss addiction and the heel walking, i mean, she is basically mastering womanhood by the age of two! so much for convincing her to stay my tiny baby forever!
pretty weather has finally decided to stick around a while, i think, and ooooh, how we have needed that sunshine on our skin! of course, it’s always a better day when i get to see my horsey boy, which we did that afternoon. maddalena insisted on getting out the brush, concerned with all the caked-on dirt stuck to casey’s shedding winter coat, but he worked pretty hard on putting that dirt there over the last few days, so we didn’t get too far in removing it. then m picked some of those little purple flowers that are popping up everywhere and stated “dada!” before taking them to steven, all sweet as sugar… as if she needs to woo him aaany further! i mean, flowers picked specifically for daddy. melt. my. heart.
we ended the day with some of our best friends, and is there a better way to end a weekend?! cheers to that! or “bangers” as mia’s little friend lucy now calls cheersing, haha! [ps. lucy nicknamed maddalena “mia” at one point a while back, understandably unable to pronounce the whole ma-dah-lay-nah, and it’s so perfect that it stuck! we just love it.] they spoiled us with a delicious dinner, as they always do, and everyone was in love, and waaa we miss having them as neighbors!
so anyway. the days just go way too quickly, don’t they? this was a good one, and it definitely deserved a bit of savoring, so thank you, sunday funday! and hey, all you other days could really take some tips from mr. sundee fundee over here, fyi, okay? ookaay!

Jealous about your sunshine. It was sunny here today after we got dumped with more snow last night. EW. Gorgeous pictures though, they put a smile on my face and now I'm dreaming of warm sunny days:)
