there were a couple little moments over the last weekend where i suddenly found myself unexpectedly able to just… pause. to hear quiet, peaceful air around me. to close my eyes and try to soak it in… the feeling of not feeling pressured for time… not feeling needed by somebody right away, immediately. it’s so funny how much a moment like that can stand out these days! and those didn’t last long. i didn’t really need them to… but while they did, oh, how i reveled!
everybody needs to catch a moment like that sometimes… to inhale deeply and clear your head for just a second… and i’m pretty darn certain that i’m not the only girl to start feeling a bit pulled from all ends every once in a while. no, that’s just what a good life looks like, i think! because, gosh, i’ll take being needed over feeling bored and useless any day!
it’s a good, good life.
[and photos of casey, you know i can’t help it. that day was so pretty!]

I love being able to pause in certain moments and just take it all in! Its so needed in our society where we are constantly rushing, we miss such precious moments!

sooo true!! our society is all about going, doing, moving, always! i wish we were "allowed" to do things more slowly and really savor life! maybe i should move to europe now 😉

It's so difficult to have those moments. I'll blame January. It's amazing what getting outside can do for the soul. Also, gorgeous braid.
