[a few of my views as we got started this morning, including my crazy jungle bed hair]
i just love having little daily rituals. you know, just those things that stabilize you when life keeps on a-changin’… and boy, it all starts with that cup of morning coffee, doesn’t it? it sure does around here, at least!
these days, a lot of our daily habits seem to be shuffling around, rearranging a bit with the whole 18-month phase that one tiny princess has hit. it’s a big time for milestones on the toddler timeline, and she’s blossoming, changing, learning, growing before our very eyes. every day brings something new, and it’s just incredible to be a part of! but anyone doing the baby thing will tell you that whenever big leaps are being made, a lot of your patterns are thrown riiight out the window. nothin’ too big or crazy, but it’s sure to keep a mama on her toes! so, it’s nice to have some daily things that just don’t change. like coffee. because after we let minnie out in the morning and do our diaper changing, we fix coffee, and that is just how that’s going to go, plain and simple, now and forevermore. well. hopefully the diaper part isn’t forevermore 😉 but the coffee part is non-negoshe! i like to play a little soft music in the mornings these days, too, and oh, it just completes me. diana krall, get in my ears, please ma’am!
some newest of our daily rituals? eating oatmeal instead of eggs. family hiding under the bed sheets at night. sleeping with a vaporizer running in our bedroom to fight the dry winter air… then bringing it into the kitchen to keep it going through the day. and also, trying to feed my casey boy as many times a week as possible. even if it’s seventeen. oh, winter, you’re such a party!
so, i guess all this is to pretty much say… thank goodness for coffee! thank goodness, indeed.

YES. Thank God for coffee!
We thrive on daily, albeit flexible, rituals in this home too 🙂

Is it fair to say that coffee has become more than just my love language?? like, I want to marry it?!
🙂
I've also started putting Aquaphor on Izzy's parched skin.. it works really well.. she had some super dry patches.. rash-like. Ick.

oh, totally fair, i want to marry it too!!
and i've never used aquaphor, but i know a lot of people do!! i've used coconut oil + vaseline on those little skin spots. i'm slathering myself in it, too!
Cassie {Home and Sass} says

you should be a coconut oil spokesperson!

YES. Coffee is a must in the morning. One of my new rituals has been doing yoga in the morning and it's been so amazing.
