you know, back in my pony clubbin’ days, i remember hearing a story of a girl who wouldn’t date a guy unless her horse ate cheese straight out of his hand. i don’t know if that was totally true, but it’s probably a smart test! horses are insightful creatures, and well, then there are those boys, right? [so, when your little girl is begging for a pony, just know that horses are a great way to keep a girl out of trouble!] i never officially gave steven that test, but when we were dating, he was more than happy to jump into my horse world with me. he eagerly hopped on casey, and i suppose that was test enough!
when it comes to the whole topic of “love languages,” i can never totally decide which one i am. but… if i had to choose, i would say my biggest one is probably words of affirmation… mixed with affection. like, hey, let’s cuddle and maybe share a few sweet nothings! we don’t have to have too many deep chats, and i don’t even love flashing my vulnerable side… i’m just sayin’ if you think i did a decent job parking my car in between the lines today, or maybe my hair looks extra fresh, you are quite welcome to say it!
but my other love language? pretty sure it’s casey. love my casey with me and it’s like a cozy, warm blanket around my heart. thankfully, it’s something my hot husband has done with me for years and years now. clearly, he passed that casey test!
he came out with me to feed casey on a chilly day over the weekend [while maddo watched “ooh ooh aah aah” curious georgio with papa scioscia, who is aka-ed, “the giant baby”], and we were cold and silly, and it was just so good for my happiness level! then later that night, as i was looking for puppy pictures of minnie, i happened upon some photos from 7 and a half years ago of us dorking it up the same way with the same casey. oh, how the time flies! and how some things never change 😉 well, except for my hair color…
[hey, 2007!]
thanks for the memories, boys! and the love, of course. so much love!

I'm so the same way with my love languages… Sweet nothings go so far! Also, your hair circa 2007 looks eerily similar to what my hair looked like circa 2007.

These are such beautiful photos! I wanted a horse so badly when I was growing up, but we moved to a city of 8 million people overseas when I turned 13 so there wasn't exactly anywhere to keep a horse, haha! Sometimes I still think that I'd like to a have a horse. Thankfully I have a friend who lives just outside Memphis and he has several horses and lets us go ride any time we want. 🙂 Also, I LOVE your hair! So beautiful!
