we fiiinally got our christmas tree up last night!! yay yay yay!!
this is probably the latest we have ever put up our christmas tree in all of our 6 married christmas tree trimmings, and we had actually decided to do it early this year! but then, with all of the snazzy table things happening, we were a bit delayed… i mean, hello, passionate table obsession, i’m totally not complaining! but… it’s a little bit difficult for me to get into the proper christmas spirit without my tree, so i knew it was becoming kind of an emergency situation over here. but yaaaay, it is now done! except, we ran into a tiny dilemma once steven got the tree half wrapped in lights… ran out of lights… steven went to get more, and then we ran out of lights again… so… our tip top is a little dark until we grab some more! but you know, that’s okay. these things are all part of the tradition, i s’pose! and it’s funny now that maddo is old enough to “participate.” we put on elf, which she thought was hilarious [obviously! she is our child!] and then she pulled some of the pretty ball ornaments off the tree and played with them a while. it’s a good thing we’ve had a cat attacking our tree every year to prepare us for toddlerhood! although, so far, that little angel of ours has been verrrry mature about the whole ornament situation. she is such a superstar.
also, then i had a total mom moment and put maddalena and her baby doll in their matching christmas pjs! oh my g. yes, pjs. that match. her baby doll. can’t get enough. matching is my favsies. oh. i just got an excitement tingle because i love matching so much!
ps. our angel topping tradition photo is kind of ridiculous, isn’t it! we need more kids so it can be even more ridiculous.
There is nothing like the glow of a christmas tree and few things I love quite as much!
Also, M. totally reminds me of the Gerber Baby baby, and that baby is one of the cutest babies in baby history… so.

Her tights?! Love them. And I had a moment of panic when I saw her holding her first ornament!!! I would have been hovering off camera in preparation for a drop. Also, I don't think the angel picture is ridiculous at ALL. 🙂
