the early fall around here is the best part of fall, if you ask me! i mean, it’s just wonderful. the sunsets are golden, the leaves are just starting to turn… you can throw on a little scarf but still wear short sleeves, and the time hasn’t changed yet! best of all worlds! i’ve been totally savoring it. i know it’s supposed to be lame-o to talk about the weather, but let’s be real here, i kind of live for good weather! and i have to soak it all up to survive the wintertimes, you know?
and oh, these photos from one pretty evening last week are really my heart’s happy place. madd is so drawn to my horseyboy, casey, lately. she wants to love on him and rest her head on him, because i’m sure she can tell that he is really the best at that sorta thing. gosh, the number of times i’ve gone to him just to rest my head on his warm fur!! too many times to count, i do believe. and minnie, oh minnie. she’s always there to help you finish your meal, as she was happy to assist mom’s horse, doc, with. such a foofy little farm lover, that girl.
i need and love these little still moments so much with the sunshine and the horses. i’ve said it once and twice and i’ll say it a million more times… life moves fast! and somehow i still don’t feel like i’m quite used to it. but i sure do love it! love it a lot.
[most of these photos snagged from my mom 😉 thanks, mommy!]

Great photos!! I can practically FEEL the velvety softness of the sweet horse.
And the pink leggings – on you and her – so cute! Girly-girl meets country.

This post makes my heart happy! Seeing sweet M on Casey is just so cute. I am a horse girl, too. And now I miss my Marshalia (horse) that lived in my backyard growing up. I fed that sweet girl apples everyday after school 🙂
