over the weekend weeee…
…shipped out our first closet sale shipment! enjoyed some lingering summer weather [summer’s not over yet!!]. danced up and down the aisles to a live jazz band in the wine store after a delish mexican food outing, meeting up with some of my fam. we did some relaxing at home, ahhh. spent time with wonderful friends. saw a pretty rainbow over the pretty green tennessee hills on the way to see more friends. watched precious babies play. drank some wine. loved each other. and then… we crashed!
i am, in my heart, very much a summer girl, although i really love the fall season, as well… but lately, as i walk around seeing fall-themed everything go up in stores, i just find myself heading straight to the summer-clearance section! because, oh, this year i just haven’t been quite ready to see summer go yet. i don’t have the tingle of sweater love and boot happiness, and i’m fine leaving my leggings and scarves in hibernation for just a little longer. i think it’s just because our summertime here has been so strangely mild! well, mild for nashville, at least. gosh, my skin tone already looks like we’re mid-october, and that just won’t do, now will it?
but anyway, one morning this weekend, steven and i were drinking our coffee to a rainy day ambiance outside our windows, and watching jerry seinfeld’s comedians in cars getting coffee [we LOVE these episodes!] and i thought, ooh, this is really cozy! maybe i’m getting there? maybe? well, maybe with a few fall-themed wardrobe purchases, maybe! so, hey there, september!! the sun is shining, and i am happy. i hope everyone had such a lovely long weekend!!
oh, also, ps. i did have a pumpkin spiced latte yesterday morning and i will admit… there was a surprising hint of fall tingle involved 😉

Sounds like a pretty darn good weekend to me! Especially when there is Mexican food involved! I just love those Fall tingles! They are the absolute best! I'm a Fall girl at heart but this year I have to admit I haven't been in Fall mode as early as I usually am. But! Our weather forecast says this weekend is the start to cooler weather, so Fall mode it is! 🙂
