i can say with all kinds of certainty that our lives over here got a whole lot better over the weekend, thanks to the gorgeous weather! and friends. and food. and other stuff. we got started on some spring cleaning, steven got a shiny new grill [boys and their grills!], i got a little time in the sunshine visiting with my horseypie [girls and their horses!], and we had friends over for some o-fficial back porch dining! steven had an idea to do these honey pineapple craziness chicken kabobs, and they were delish. i swear, i keep telling him that in another life he is a fabulous chef somewhere, because he is so good at food. i mean, i love food, but ideally my diet is covered in italian seasonings, with a mexican meal thrown in there, and nibblings of yogurt and cheese and crackers… and i’m kind of a picky eater [ahem, i’m told that i eat like a child, which is true, but in my own defense, i think i’ve improved drastically over the years], so i don’t feel compelled to change it up much, ha. anyway, thanks for the kabobs, babe! thank you friends for coming over. thank you sun for warming us up, finally. thank you front yard tree for blooming!

Still waiting for warm weather and sunshine to appear in Minnesota…it has been far to long already! Meanwhile…I will soak up your lovely photos and keep dreaming of summer =)

haha it's so funny how boys get excited about a grill. But I guess we guess excited about things like shoes and they'll never understand that.
