2. a few evenings ago, while trying to see if my pasta was ready, i dripped boiling water right onto my finger… and to my surprise, really actually legitimately burned it! it felt so lame, burning myself with hot water. somehow, i’m pretty sure pregnancy has made me significantly clumsier. as we all know, i’m generally incredibly graceful, just like a ballerina [haha], but now it seems my body is much too busy with the small one to perform simple daily tasks.
3. and really, it may not look like much just yet… but i’ve already lost about an inch of visibility between my eyeballs and my lower half! sneaky! guess i shouldn’t start planning my wardrobe for our italy trip just yet. if i pack any time soon, i could end up looking like britney spears two months from now. my italian ancestors would have to shun me.
4. i have a new theory!! and it’s a good one, pure genius, about shopping and my need to shop right now. you see, i feel like it makes complete sense that my pregnant instincts would be telling me to shop, considering there are two major regions of my upper half that are very quickly outgrowing much of my clothing [and the outgrowing did not begin with the belly, let me tell you]. it only makes sense that i should instinctively know how to accommodate. so really, it’s survival! i’m totally just doing what’s right for my body!
5. new theory and bank account in mind, i went to old navy for the first time in ages… and out of all the cute things i spotted and wanted, i came home with a couple of these tri-blend v-neck tees… which i knew i needed immediately because they’re way better than those little target pocket tees and less expensive than my fav aa v-necks… [plus, i’m trying really hard not to buy anything that will just look ridiculous on me by the time summer even gets here.] and guess what, i was so right! i needed them. and now i need a couple more. i love a good soft v-neck tee! truly, i do. in an obsessive and passionate kind of way. i like to do everything in them, sleep and exercise and wear skirts and frolic through fields in the sunshine. but for the record, i also bought a cute striped shirt, and considering i bought it in size ginormous, i really hope it fits me for a while.
6. cried at the titanic 3d commercial. i’m still not ready! is the world really ready for that? i’m not sure i can handle all that emotion again!
7. lately, steven and i spend infinitely more time thinking up terribly unlikely potential baby names rather than actual options. it’s just way more fun. we picture all the people that know us and their confused faces as they open up a sweet little baby announcement that says “presentinggggg baby rodney jasper ignacio bishop!” or “baby antenna loretta bishop, III!” you know, just… something extremely unlikely to show up on the face of our 2012 infant. needless to say, we’re not getting too far with actual ideas, so it’s a good thing we have a while! [*just ignore this if rodney jasper ignacio or antenna loretta really are your chosen names.]
8. and seriously… not to be all “tv-watcher,” because i really do reserve my shows for the downest of down time… but i can. not. wait. to find out who A is on pretty little liars, which happens in just 3 more episodes. i’m nervous! and no, my love for that show does not at all make me a teenage girl. other things do, maybe, like the fact that the t-swift and efron interview on ellen was like, the highlight of my tuesday [you know the dance dares got me good]. or the fact that i cried at the end of high school musical 3. or the fact that i love justin bieber a scary amount. maybe those things. but pretty little liars is serious. serious adult stuff.
9. not so long from now, i will be in my favorite place of all favorite places! we’re taking a little viz to the beach soon [where april and i contracted a very severe strain of beiber fever last year. don’t even get me started.] and just picturing waking up to breakfast on the balcony, overlooking the ocean waves, living in my swimsuit, and watching the old ladies bounce around the pool on their noodles makes my whole body beam with joy. and i’m crossing my fingers that while i’m relaxing to a little sinatra in the sunshine, baby b has a growth spurt and starts up a major dance party that i can actually feel because i’m really ready for that action. come on, baby b, dance parties are in your genes! be the dance party prodigy we all know you can be!
10. and what am i doing to prepare this beach bod for poolside basking? oh. eating cold pizza at midnight… and then again for breakfast. perfect.
happy day!

lol.. loved your post..
the not ready for titanic is hilarious. When i watch that trailer I think omg how lame i was bawling my eyes out and then watching it again to do the same.. I would even cry every time the Heart will go on song played..
if you think pregnancy is making your clumsier wait till the baby comes out.. you can say goodbye to your memory.. I have become so forgetful.
happy shopping

Ok, now that's out of the way I love cheese too! And funny thing – Minnie is a Pom right? My parents have a little white Pom and they always feed him string cheese which he just adores! haha
