i’ve been just a wee little bit down for the count the last couple of days. such a bummer because generally i really pride myself on having an immune system of steel. and gold. and glitter! but this week, no steel, no gold. a little glitter maybe. and i have gotten a few things accomplished in the last day or two… but maybe just not really the things i’d planned…
for example:
- spent way too much time on nameberry.com. for no reason other than the fact that i’ve been obsessed with picking baby names since age 13. [obviously i’m not getting anywhere fast.]
- killed a housefly with my sink sprayer. i sprayed it right down the disposal. yes!
- drank 3 whole lemons of juice in my water.
- ordered comfy american apparel shorts. is that so random? it is, it so is.
- watched the first 3 episodes of zooey’s new girl, which did not disappoint. the dvr is officially set for more.
- also watched a tidbit of that new whitney show, which made me cringy & i couldn’t go on.
- spent one whole day in ginorm gray sweatpants, green wool sweater, fuzzy socks & a scarf. i had the chills. it was so sexy.
- wanted a grilled cheese. never made one.
- steven worked til waaay late, which is totally an accomplishment on his part but it just made me pouty.
- had pity party, etc.
- snuggled.
- oh, but i did install iOS 5 on two ipads + an iphone with no hitches, which feels like an accomplishment since the whole world exploded when everyone started trying to update. i think the secret’s been to do it late at night. and by late i don’t mean 10pm. i mean midnight. woo, score one for the night owls!
so, today i finally paid a much-needed visit to my mother-in-law, who is in the business of natural healing & holistic herbal fabulousness, and i’m on the road to recovery. yaaay, no more under the weath for mee-heee. [and no antibiotics, i hate those devils.] and now i’m going to just push right through because weekends are fun. and tonight we get to celebrate steven again! we have one more birthday 2011 dinner for him tonight with his family. it’s still his birthday week, that lucky dog. wait. i think i mean lucky duck. i am so foggy brained.
haaaaappy weekend.

Are you pregnant? Wait, don't answer that, it's none of my business. BUT…if you ARE pregnant, I just want to say right now that this here Anon called it! 😉

hahah I love it!! I've kept a list of "names" since I started Teaching. some names have been crossed off "the list" since well you get those students ever so often that totally ruin the name for you!

Oh man, how awesome you have a MIL that is into that! I'm an herb/vitamins girl all the way too.
Glad you still had some glitter even though you were feeling down.. =)
And celebrating steven again? Isn't he lucky… hehe

I'm on antibiotics right now and hating like {I'm quite the dramatist}. But really, I hate antibiotics. On a better note, I have those american apparel shorts and they are the bestest… but the model wearing them and her pose are both awkward and strange.
Tgif, lady.

anon, ha! no i'm not preg! for sure not, although i can see how one might think that…
cmae, i know, there are so many names i can never love because of kids i knew growing up!
whitney, i am seriously so lucky to have a professional MIL fixer like i do. and my mom's all herby like that, too, so it's definitely our fav way of life.
jkd, thank you! i am feeling better already. and wearing a similar pair of fuzzy warm socks 🙂
jessica, i am so excited about the shorts! i just need more like that lately. but what is with aa and their model weird pose stuff? always so strange. also, antibiotics are just the worst!
