on monday evening my poor, poor dear husband charming practically broke his skinny ankle off playing basketball. it turned all huge and bruisey. not a pretty sight. he’s gonna have the worst old man ankles someday. that is for sure. sorry, future old steven!
tuesday i picked up a rotisserie chicken for dinner from the grocery thinking it was the best idea ever but then pretty much gagged trying to weasel the meat off its bones. i don’t do well with dead animals, no matter what their death status is. then we watched no strings attached, which was wildly inappropriate, but we liked it and we laughed. ashton and natalie are such pretty people. and we never see movies lately, so that was good.
wednesday evening i picked the boy up from work and we went downtown to see friendsies for a mexican food birthday dinner. and then after dinner he got called right back into work! silly. but i am proud of him for working so hard. and being awesome.
thursday i ordered a vintage pink floyd t-shirt off of ebay [i know. steven is going to think i am crazy. actually, no. he won’t be surprised at all.] and then went over to sit by the farmhome pool and the second i got there the rainclouds rolled in. so i drank some tea and minnie very rudely chased huck the cat around on the porch.
thursday night i got to visit with my down-the-street neighbylove, maggie, and the babyneighby, lucy! except lucy is still in the belly so she didn’t really say much. but i got to look at her newfangled 3D “portraits” and that was exciting. the neighbs are really my favorite. i don’t like to go long without seeing them.
this week i may have also stayed up late baking more cookies [even some for the neighbs that spelled lucy!! i was pretty excited that my letter cookies actually worked], giggled a lot at youtube videos of this cat from japan who loves boxes, giggled at steven giggling watching curb your enthusiasm on the ipad, sipped my drinks through straws, and continued to not get the oil changed in my 4runner even though i’m way overdue. i also even tried cutting back on the amount of photos i take of the fluffs. hear me when i say it did not quite catch on.
ohhh, the little things we do in our weird normal not normal day-to-day. i like all the weird little life things when they are with husband dearest… just not when he injures himself!
aaaand cue the weekend!

Sounds like a productive week – letter cookies are impressive! I can cook, but baking and I do not get along well…I think it might be my lack of being able to follow directions to a T.
