[pretty farmhome nature shots from after my ride last week]
you know, list-making is like one of my favorite pastimes/compulsive habits
and since we are so passionately in love with the summer around here
i find it only appropriate to make a list of the summertime vibes that never get old…
- back porching with wine as the sun goes down
- fresh blooming flowers everywhere
- frank sinatra playlists by the pool
- summer hair. hair braids. hair everywhere because you can do that.
- summertime polaroids [polas are so carefree and summery to me]
- toenail polish on tan feetsies
- big fields to go a-frolicking through.
- leaving a restaurant expecting it to be dark out but it’s still daylight!
- not to mention husband gets home from work and it’s also still daylight.
- grabbing coffee with friends and sitting outside with cute sunglasses on [bonus!]
- walking out of cold buildings straight into hugs from warm summer air
- clothes that don’t restrict your general daily movement [not to mention cartwheels]
- waaaaay fewer DVRed shows to feel obligated to catch up on
- windows-down driving [perhaps a little too fast. with a fluff nose happily sniffing in the air.]
- summertime summer songs! i am obviously partial to the one featured here. duh.
- swimsuits. water. trips to the lake.
- oh and puffy clouds. why are clouds so great?
dearest, most glorious summertime. i never take you for granted!
[and happy 7/11/11! whew, so rhymey!]

"I have the hardest time being indoors in the summer" – agreed. And this summer with my first big girl job? Forget about it. As much as I love my job, one hour of sun after work is NOT enough.
Love your blog! Following!
