fathers day was last sunday and i really should go ahead
and mention that my dad is awesome.
and mention that my dad is awesome.
[back when i was a baby, and clearly my dad was a baby, too.]
steven and i woke up sleepover style at our friends’ housey on f-day morning after last weekend’s wedding activities and pretty much went straight to dad-celebrating at farmhome [actually, we took a little intermission to change and nap at our house] the way we do it best… with olives and wine and porch time. and this time with the addition of a lovely candelabra!
we made some special neck-tie cookies for daddy-dearest. aren’t they lovely? [mine is the dad one! followed by brother’s fancy shmancy and sister’s costa rica themed.] and we spied on some pretty little eggs that a mama birdy laid inside one of the fence posts around the donkey pasture. the mama bird was not pleased that we were peeping in at her babies [she tried to attack my head], but they were just too cute.
farmhome celebrations are the best. and so are dads. i’m thankful for dads.
[and steven has a great dad, too, we just haven’t gotten to celebrate him yet!]
