last night we went to a fun little musical event put on every wednesday by the loveless cafe [you know, where mary & i just learned we could order mimosas!] called music city roots. i hadn’t been before but my parents and i decided to go last night to see april’s very talented fiddling daddy, fred carpenter, playing fiddle with his friend suzy bogguss, one of the evening’s featured artists.
it was such a fun and nashvilly good time! we loved it. the whole vibe is reminiscent of an old fashioned radio show [because it really is on the radio], so april and i determined that we felt maybe like we were in oh brother, where art thou. i know, don’t you love feeling old fashiony? i do. i love old fashiony and i love nashville. i just wish steven had made it out with us, but he didn’t. he’d like it, though. next time.
oh, and spotted! also there was jack white. from the white stripes.
very white skin. very dark hair. amen.
