dear diary,

last night was one of the most pleasant little evenings
at home i think i’ve had in a while. this is why:

1. i successfully made chicken for our pasta without gagging at the raw meat or over-cooking it. [i’ve had quite the issue with chicken lately.]
2. we finally have christmas presents under our tree! little tree looks so happy. and about 99.9% of our shopping is complete. ahh. relief.
3. we ate a very cozy meal on the couch. i can sometimes be a smidge anti-couch-dinners but last night i was totally for it. gotta have balance.
4. sophie made me giggle at her slothy cat positions. i think she’s part kitty… part something else.
5. best part: i didn’t have any homework looming over me. i just got to enjoy the evening. and husband. and fluffs. so nice. [and now all the tension i usually have in my chest is finally gone!]

i love life’s littlest things. and i love the holidays!
