…that we planted in the back yard exactly one week before the flood.
we’d come home from a weekend wedding trip to find them as a sweet little surprise from our neighbs. so we planted them right away! but i definitely did not think they’d survive the flood. i thought for sure they’d be floating around the yard. but somehow, they stayed put. and in 5 months i haven’t been able to care for them hardly at all, so seeing them now all perfectly pretty and blooming makes me so so so very happy! they’re beautiful and bright and i love them a lot. thanks again, neighbylove. [our other flowers didn’t do so well. poor little azaleas are dead dead dead.]
